Phillip Mills makes the call for Boise State
College football recruiting is a long process. Even with the new early signing period in place this December, that first open window for players to sign is still many months away. That didn’t stop Boise State fans from getting antsy about not having a commitment for the class of 2018. Thankfully for Broncos fans, Paloma Valley (Menifee, CA) Safety/Linebacker Phillip Mills ended the drought late last night by calling Defensive Coordinator Andy Avalos to commit to Boise State.
Mills took an unofficial visit to Boise State back in April during the weekend of the spring game, “The visit was amazing. Most of my family, including my grandparents, were able to make it. What really made a great impression was how Harsin sat down with all of us and talked to us for over an hour. No other head coach has put in that effort.” Mills told Blue-Turf following his announcement.
The visit to Boise had a significant impact on Mills and his family, resulting in his early commitment.
