Moore Invited to Heisman Trophy Ceremony

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State redshirt junior Kellen Moore will be in attendance of the 2010 Heisman Trophy presentation ceremony, Saturday (Dec. 11), in New York, N.Y. as one of four players invited to attend college football's most prestigious event, Monday (Dec. 6).
Moore will join Auburn quarterback Cam Newton, Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck and Oregon running back LaMichael James as the four Heisman candidates invited to New York. The Heisman announcement will air live on ESPN from the Best Buy Theater in Times Square at 8 p.m.

(EST). The 76th annual Heisman Memorial Trophy Dinner will then be held at 5:30 p.m. (EST), Monday (Dec. 13).
Moore is also scheduled to be in attendance at the 2010 Home Depot College Football Awards Show on ESPN, Thursday (Dec. 9), which will air at 7 p.m. (EST). Moore was selected with Newton and Luck as the three finalists for both the Davey O'Brien Award and Maxwell Award.
All of Moore's individual recognition this season has come on the heels of another incredible year leading the Boise State offense. His consistent play helped guide the No. 11 Broncos to an 11-1 overall record; including a 7-1 record against Western Athletic Conference opponents that helped them secure a share of the WAC Championship.
Moore, a Prosser, Wash. (Prosser HS) native, concluded the regular season as one of the top quarterbacks in the country. He currently ranks second nationally in pass efficiency rating (185.0), trailing
only Newton (188.16). Moore is also third in completion percentage (71.01), fourth in touchdown passes (33) and interception to attempt ratio (0.0145; 5 of 345), seventh in passing yards per game (292.17) and eighth in total passing yards (3,506). He leads both Newton and Luck in all five categories.
All of Moore's success during the regular season has led to a record setting year in which he broke several career marks at Boise State. Moore is already the school's all-time leader in career passing yards (10,528), pass completions (803), touchdown passes (97) and 200-yard passing games (33). He also finished the regular season tied for first in career pass attempts (1,181).
Moore will lead Boise State to its ninth consecutive bowl appearance, Dec. 22 (Wednesday), when the Broncos take on No. 19 Utah in the Maaco Bowl Las Vegas XIX. The game, which will air on ESPN, is scheduled for 6 p.m. (MST).
