Local tackle to take unofficial to Boise State

John Ojukwu from Boise, Idaho is a relatively unknown recruit on a national scale. Currently he has no rating from rivals, but that hasn’t stopped schools from showing interest in the 6’6” 280 lb offensive and defensive tackle. Of the schools that have shown interest in Ojukwu they have currently been recruiting him as an offensive tackle. Schools that have offered are Boise State, Portland state, and the University of Hawaii who just recently offered.

John is visiting Boise State this week on an unofficial visit as the Broncos play Utah State. He is also “planning on visiting the schools that have offered him and maybe the other two that he's been talking to.” The other two schools being Utah and Oregon who have spoken with him “a little bit.”

In looking for a school of his choice, John said “when I look at schools now I look for the majors I can take so I’m prepared for life along with football.” He also added “I will do anything to make the team better and will work to get better every time I’m on the field.”

I asked John who he models his game and style after and he responded, “I don’t really model my play after one person, but I try to learn from everyone I watch.” Ojukwu is planning on making his school of choice decision soon and will be graduating this winter so he can start spring football and college early.
