Who: The Washington State Cougars

Where: Albertson’s Stadium, Boise, Idaho

When: September 10th, 8:15pm MST

How: ESPN 2

What to watch for: This is quite possibly the most hyped season for the WSU Cougars in the past decade. With aspirations of possibly playing for the Pac-12 title game, this season got off to a deafening thud last week for the Cougs losing at home to in-state “rival” Eastern Washington.

Opening the season with a disappointing loss to an FCS opponent is nothing new to Washington State though, seeing as they started the exact same way last season by losing to Portland State. The Cougars did rally however, behind quarterback Luke Faulk who popped up on a few dark horse Heisman lists this season.

Don't expect the Cougars to come in with their head held low. This team, for better or worse, has the personality of its head coach Mike Leach, and the moment they're counted out is when they're at their most dangerous.

The Cougars have no shortage of weapons, with wide receiver Gabe Marks topping the list. Marks will test the inexperienced secondary of Boise State, and it will be interesting to see how Boise elects to go about covering the future NFL star.

Odds: BSU -12
