The Hitman Cometh

As part of our continuing post-signing day coverage, Duck Sports Authority is contacting all of Oregon's class of 2007 signees in order to get to know them better. This is a series that will continue for the next few weeks. In this episode we meet up with the 'Hitman', defensive tackle Myles Wade.

Recent statistics: For his senior season, Wade recorded 68 tackles and 11.5 sacks. He also showed big-play potential by blocking a field goal, forcing three fumbles and recovering three fumbles including one that he returned 35 yards for a touchdown. For his efforts, Wade was named first-team all-state in Oregon's class 6A as a defensive tackle.

Other schools offering scholarships: Wade committed to Oregon during the summer of 2006 over offers from Colorado, Houston, and Oregon State. USC offered him shortly after his commitment to Oregon, and Florida called three weeks before signing day to try and sway his decision but he did not waver with his decision.

Myles Wade grew up a fan of NFL Hall of Famer Reggie White. In fact, he'll wear White's number 92 as a Duck.
