Malachi Lewis among visitors at Cal
After arguably the biggest recruiting weekend of the year for potential 2007 Golden Bear recruits, the Cal football staff is back at it, hosting numerous national prospects again this weekend. The list includes Rivals 4-star prospects Malachi Lewis, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound athlete from Oxnard (Calif.) Rio Mesa high school, and Kayne Farquharson, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound wide receiver originally from Florida but who played the past two seasons for Los Angeles (Calif.) El Camino CC.
While Lewis and Farquharson carry the highest star quality, Robert Mullins, a 6-foot-1, 210-pound outside LB prospect from Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey high school, is also visiting Cal this weekend. He's long held the Golden Bears program with high esteem. His former Don teammate, redshirt freshman Keith Browner, signed with Cal last year as part of the Bears 2006 class. In a November interview with Rivals, Mullins gave his impression of what Cal could potentially offer him.
