Huskies not sleeping on Turner

Terrell Turner might be one recruit the Huskies can't afford to sleep on. Since making the switch from DE to LB earlier this season, Turner hasn't looked back, racking up 162 Tackles, five forced fumbles, six sacks, and an interception that was returned for a touchdown.

Still, many consider Turner a "sleeper" recruit.

"I think it's great," says Turner in response to being labeled a "sleeper". "When I moved from DE to LB, it took people off guard and everyone forgot about me for a while. I love LB though, it gives me a chance to step up and show everyone what I have to offer".

Turner, who has led his Crenshaw Bulldogs to a berth in the Los Angeles City Championship semi-finals this season, says his schools of choice are: UW, UCLA, and Oregon. University of Nevada assistant coach Kim McCloud, whose team is heading off to play Miami in the MPC Computers Bowl, visited with Turner this week and also expressed interest.
