Anger Talks Cal Commitment
With punter Andrew Larson having just one more year of eligibility following this season after coming over from Saddleback Junior College, Cal needed to prepare for the future after Larson and found their man last week. Not only did they get one of the top punters in the state of California, they got the top punter in the nation in Camarillo's Bryan Anger.
The 6-4, 189-pound Anger had Cal at the top of his list for much of the process, but had also fielded scholarship offers from the likes of Clemson, Washington, Northwestern and Oregon. In the end, there was no doubt he wanted to be a Golden Bear.
