City sleeper shined at UCLA Camp

Linebacker Kyle Augustin from Los Angeles University was one of the surprise standouts at the UCLA four-day Camp last June. According to University defensive coordinator, Lee Lowe, Augustin is another player who probably would have taken an offer home with him due to his camp performance if the numbers were available.


"Kyle is legit," Lowe said. "He's a throwback. He has that nasty attitude that Dick Butkis and Ray Nitschke had in the old school days.


"When I talk about Kyle's ability I get excited. This guy plays the so hard and with so much intensity that it's hard not to get excited.


UCLA isn't the only school that is showing interest. Arizona State, Oregon, Fresno State and Tennessee have also expressed interest in Augustin.
