Nike Camp DL - Monsters of the gridiron

The Northwest Rivals Team was up-close with the athletes at the Eugene Nike Camp. Student Sports and SPARQ trainers ensured the campers would improve their speed and skills, and it gave evaluators and opportunity to watch the action. When the campers broke out into groups, one position stood out to everyone. The effort and talent on the defensive line had evaluators drooling. Find out what individuals made impressions.


Although this event is unofficially labeled the Northwest Camp, it turned out to be a stage for out-of-state athletes to show their skills. Alex Stover traveled from Nebraska to share what strongside defending is all about. Stover is an 'A' or 'B' gap defender who is an accomplished run-stopper. He also showed a rip move that left defenders trailing. Some observers like his future at DT because of his frame and aggression, but he can play strongside defensive end.
