ISU has offered Florida CB Murray

Iowa State is among a group of BCS conference schools that have made scholarship offers this spring to Kathleen (Fla.) cornerback Antwan Murray. The 6-foot, 165-pounder has a couple of SEC schools looking closely at him in addition to the Big 12 and Big East programs that have already made their intentions know with offers. "He's got some early offers, a handful of them," said Kathleen head coach Brian Armstrong about the versatile and athletic Murray. "Iowa State, Ole Miss, Pitt, Rutgers, Nebraska. Those are the ones I can think of right off the top of my head.

"Coach (Mike) Shula and Coach (Urban) Meyer were both here last week to check out his film and to watch him practice," Armstrong added, in reference to the Alabama and Florida head coaches. "So they are both definitely recruiting him. If they will offer, I don't know."
