SoCal RB loves to entertain
Compton (Calif.) Dominguez standout Brandon Johnson (5-9, 185, 4.5) is one of the best running backs in Southern California. He already has four Pac-10 offers on the table and there is no reason to doubt that before the spring is over there will be more scholies for Johnson to mull over.
So far in the early going, Johnson has offers from Arizona, Oregon, Oregon State and Washington. Cal is sending a ton of mail and Colorado is sending him text messages.
Not a lot of D-I colleges have been by the campus yet but you can be rest assured that Dominguez will be a hot spot for D-I schools throughout the spring.
As a junior, Johnson rushed for 1,500 yards and scored 24 touchdowns while sharing the rock with seniors Elijah Wesson and quarterback/safety Oregon bound, Marvin Johnson.
Johnson's junior season performance saw him earn first-team all-league, all-CIF, all-state and second-team Long Beach Telegram Dream Team.
The scouting report on Johnson is he's a money player who shines brightest when the pressure is at its most intense. In the CIF Championship game he rushed for 258 yards and four touchdowns sparking his team to victory.
Johnson comes from good athletic bloodlines. His cousin is UCLA pledge running back Raymond Carter from Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw.
