State Recruiting - The Magnificent Seven
The 2007 in-state recruiting class was one of the weakest there has been in a while, but the Cougs were able to navigate its way through the class and sign seven high-quality recruits. Here is a look at what they will bring to the table as well as their chances of playing this fall.
Eric Block (Chances of Playing in 2007: 5%): The three-star safety out of Bellevue may be the class's biggest steal - he has played at a high level for three years under the most ultimate pressure. He's beaten De La Salle and Long Beach Poly as a wing-T quarterback, and in the Poly game had two backbreaking interceptions in the fourth quarter from his safety position. He's won two state titles in three years. He will likely redshirt as he will enter college as a 17-year-old freshman. But once that happens, expect Block to start for a minimum of three years as a safety in Pullman.
