Owusu lands the offer he's been hoping for
Defensive end post grad prospect Ernest Owusu has grabbed a number of BCS conference offers since taking his game to the Hun School of Princeton, New Jersey. After graduating from Father Ryan High in Nashville, the 6-foot-4, 245 pound talent has obtained offers from schools such as Boston College, Minnesota, Washington, Wisconsin, Missouri, Stanford, Louisville, Kansas, Pittsburgh, and Connecticut.
But there was one school, that had been recruiting Owusu for quite some time that had not yet offered, the hometown Vanderbilt Commodores. However, that all changed last Friday when the Commodores offered Owusu.
"Actually they extended the offer the first day as I was touching down in Washington," Owusu told VandySports.com on Tuesday night. "Coach (Bobby)Johnson and Coach (Charlie)Fisher both called me and texted me because my phone was off cause I was in the air.
