Surprise, surprise on signing day
There are plenty of interesting stories on Signing Day, and while the mid-year Junior College signing day can pass with little fanfare, it was anything but that way for the Cal football program. As expected, Woodland (Calif.) native Skylar Curran, a 6-foot-4, 245-pound Tight End out of Butte JC in Oroville (Calif.) was quick to submit his Letter-Of-Intent (LOI). However, City College of San Francisco (CCSF) linebacker Devin Bishop pulled the shocker of the day.
Curran was the first to submit his LOI to Cal. A strong, 6-foot-4, 245-pound athletic and blocking tight end prospect, Curran is looking forward to spring ball.
While Curran was an expected Cal signee, the big surprise was certainly Bishop, who decided to sign with Cal despite giving every indication that he was headed to Minnesota. However, Bishop reconsidered late Tuesday night.
