Eufaula (Ala.) ATH Jerrel Jernigan knows how to take advantage of an opportunity when one presents itself.

In the state semifinal playoff game against UMS-Wright, Jernigan had the chance to prove himself to Tommy Tuberville. The Auburn head coach was on-hand to see the 5-foot-10, 170-pounder in person.

"It surprised me that coach Tuberville came," said Jernigan. "I found out Wednesday before the game that he was coming and thought 'Man, I've got to have a good game.'"
