More than football to Murray's decision
Lakeland (Fla.) Kathleen cornerback Antwan Murray does not see college the way some other prospects do - as a springboard to the NFL. The 6-0, 165-pound Murray has 4.4 speed and certainly has the early makings of a player who could one day enter his name into the NFL Draft, but his approach to college will be to better himself educationally as well as athletically.
"The most important factors in making my decision of course is going to be the academics and graduation percentile," said Murray. "Football can be taken away from you in the snap of a finger, so I want to go somewhere - if football is taken away from me - that will still be somewhere I want to spend the next four years of my life."
With offers from the likes of Ole Miss, Nebraska, Indiana, Central Florida, Minnesota, Iowa State and Pitt, Murray has found three schools that have matched what he is looking for best thus far in the process. They are Louisville, Minnesota and Iowa State.
