Rivals250 ATH enjoys trip to Tech
Brian Mohr
HokieHaven.com Athlete Davon Morgan made the trip west this past weekend to Virginia Tech for their senior camp on Saturday. The 6-foot-0, 184-pounder out of Richmond, Va., Varina had a good visit to Blacksburg. Did it push him any closer to making a decision for the Hokies?
"The visit went really well," he said. "I didn't participate in the timed stuff, but I did do the drills including some one-on-ones. I felt like I did pretty well and showed the coaches what I can do. I think I showed them I'm a lot better than they thought I was by proving I'm a hardworking guy that is coachable and a leader on defense."
While on the visit, Morgan was able to talk with quite a few of the coaches.
"I got to talk with Frank Beamer, Jim Cavanaugh, the new defensive back coach Torrian Gray and a couple other coaches," he said. "None of my conversations particularly stood out, but they were all real nice people to talk to."
