Change could be good for Morgan

IrishIllustrated.com Despite playing quarterback for Varina High School in Richmond, Va., Davon Morgan knows he'll probably be preying on other signal callers at the next level. The 6-foot, 188-pound athlete is already looking forward to the change.
"Most coaches say safety," Morgan said. "But others like Wake Forest, North Carolina and Clemson said quarterback. I prefer defense because I'm thinking of my future and getting into the NFL so I think safety is best."
From his quarterback position, Morgan threw for 1,402 yards and 20 touchdowns last fall. He added 505 rushing yards and another eight scores. Defensively, he made 30 stops and picked off nine passes.
"My strengths are being able to see the field and knowing everybody's position and being a leader," he said.
